My flatmates and I attended the Freshers fair a few weeks back with a few other people we had individually met as the days pressed on in England. I ended up talking to the representative of Spitfire for about fifteen to twenty minutes. He offers me a case of beer to hold down the fort and pour samples so he can watch a match šŸ˜‚. Of course I can. He gave me the name of a bar in City Centre where I can get Boston Lager. Spitfire and Samuel Adams share the same brand parent. It is at this bar a few days later I meet a to this day mate of mine. So I will forever be happy I stumbled up the Spitfire stand.

One of the many very stylish birds in Manchesta & hands down, one of the few sweethearts. I met this particular young lady while she was working and I was wondering the Arndale. She showed me a bunch of places to eat and go out for drinks and clubbing in Manchester. Some of the places you can find resuggested below. This night we were at the Revolution bar in Deansgate Locks with my male roommate, trying to set them up šŸ˜.

On Thursdays, Murkage is hosted at South on South King Street. It's a mixture of Dubstep, hip-hop, reggae, and some house: a perfect combo for me. They also hand out Red Stripe beers so you never really have to buy many drinks. Shout out to my girl from Brooklyn in the background. Hey Shanny, girl do ya thing!

As for school, I really only like one of my tutors and courses. The subjects are everything I want to study: marketing and advertising, management, international economics... However, so. boring. Not that I'm knee deep into the Business courses, I find I cannot stay awake. I find myself re-reading a page in a textbook two or three times before I can comprehend a concept. The only good thing about classes is that I am learning more skills to own/operate a business and how to sell goods/services. In addition to this I have made some "friends" I eat lunch with. We will eat together in small or large groups on campus, Why do people travel in packs like this? Sometimes we will eat nearby at a Odd Bar, Cafe Nero, Tesco, Costa Coffee, or Greggs. Most days I pack my lunch and just eat with whomever I know and run into. When I don't, I indulge in a pint, a fruit and a Gregg's steak bake. Sometime, a three pound meal when you get a sandwich, bag of crisp/chips, and a drink for only three pounds. These "friends" are also great because I haven't my books in the mail yet. So I've been allowed to either borrow the book on campus and photocopy whole first halves of books, or borrowing until the next time that specific course meets to make it easier to return the book. Another thing about these "friends" I don't have to go out alone. Go to grab lunch, or a pint, or want to dance all night and need a wing woman or two. Lately, I've been enjoying my solace. Rather be alone than surrounded by people who I am not alike. If I want company, Ill call one of my actual friends here, or I'll go on a date for free dinner and conversation. I have a good thing going on with a guy who’s as cute as a button & treats me well. I finally started doing work so now I'm less stressed about that and into the whole Uni system. i know my way around the city centre, outside the city centre. I know things! I know where to eat & which busses to take. How much I should pay for a train ticket WITH student discount. I know how long it takes to walk to campus (finally!) which umbrellas to avoid buying, which pubs are good nights out, which clubs don't let me stand on the couch 🤣 ha! I know appropriate black cab fares, I know all the little slang words like tellie, scouse, biscuit, skint, knobhead, jumper etc. I'm really not ready to go home. I go through phases, and I'm still not quite sure what's what.
